Asked to create commissioned painting in honor of the retirement of Deanna Minor, my elementary school art teacher, for permanent display at Gwendolyn Brooks Elementary School.  A copy of “Lions are Not Allowed to Scare Melissa,” a children’s book written in my pen name, Molly Fawcett, was also included in the school’s library collection.
